On February 20th 1952 Lenda Sue (Tillman) Morrison was born to James Tillman and Flonzi Gibson. At a very early age Lenda went to live with her grandparents Willie and Iva Tillman where she remained for several years. As she was growing up she moved several times with her parents James and Geneva Tillman. In Dec of 68 Lenda gave birth to her first and only son Jeff Tillman. Later on Lenda went on to have two more children, Tricia Marshall and Tootie Tillman and Married Lonnie Morrison. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, one sister Betty, several brothers and her son Jeff. Lenda was a love you with her whole heart kind of lady and when you saw her you better be ready for a hug because you were going to get one. She worked hard her whole life and there was many times it would seem there was not enough food to feed everyone but she would make a meal good enough for a king and enough to feed the entire neighborhood. Her door was always open and her table always full. Her survivors include husband Lonnie Morrison, daughter Tricia Marshall and Johnny Wilkerson of Alton their 6 children Melissa, Rachel, Charlie, Blake, Aiden and Lexi. Daughter Tootie Tillman and Jeff Myers of Alton their 3 children Timber, Dillon and Kearra. One stepson she loved as her own Jamey and Donna Morrison of Alton their 2 children Jessie and Andrew. She was the Nana to 8 great grand babies Riley, Bella, Jasper, Mason, Kyler, Kamden, Cyrus and Rayven. Two sisters Wilma Cambell of St.Louis, Janice Branscum of Alton and one brother Gary Van Meter of Metropolis Illinois Her children and grand babies were her entire life as she was theirs. She will be missed by many. Services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Edward Casey officiating, burial in the Bailey Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
