Shirley Ann Barton, age 91, was born February 9, 1935, in Alton, MO, to James M. (Summertime) Johnson and Ruby Anice (Williams) Johnson and passed to her heavenly home on October 24, 2026. She was united in marriage to Donald (Don) Eugene Barton on February 10, 1951, in Pocahontas, AR. She will be remembered for her love of her family and her willingness to help others in need.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Jim) of Lampe, MO; daughter Terri (Marty) of Alton, MO; and son Mark (Vicky) of Alton, MO; four grandsons, Samuel (Shalyn); Zach (Chelsea); Nick Hilbrich (Lisa) and Jeff Nixon; great-grandchildren Taylor (Matt); Kassidy (Jared) Rylee, Mady, Elsa Kate, Hudson, Grady, McLean, Braxton, Christian, Ethan, Austin, Emily, Kai, Jake, Max, Kaden, and Sagan; great-great-grandchildren Tallulah, Eugene, Dawn, Millie, Audrey, Amden, yet to be born Harrison Jude; her brother Don Johnson, sister, Sherry Ferguson (Steve) and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Don; daughter, Mary Beth, and sister, Judy.

Shirley spent her life caring for and nurturing her family. She felt like her grandsons were a huge blessing but there are no words to describer her love of her great-grandchildren. She was always there to babysit or fix that bowl of rice, oatmeal, cinnamon toast, or fried egg sandwich!

Her passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts, but we know she was met by her beloved husband, Don, Mary Beth and all those she loved who went before her. We love and miss you Mom, sister, and Granny!
