Keith Edward Risner, age 63 of Thayer, MO, passed peacefully in his home on September 12, 2026. A native of Thayer, Keith graduated from Thayer High School in 1981 and retired from the railroad in 2024.

He married the love of his life, the late Pamela Vaughn Risner on April 2, 1983, and they had one son, Nicholas Beau Risner. Keith enjoyed driving the backroads while listening to music, sitting on his back porch with his family, reading, fishing, and doing crosswords. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycles and listening to his grandbaby, Violet.

He is survived by his only son and daughter-in-law, Beau and Cali Risner and 1 grandchild, Violet Magnolia. He is also survived by his 2 brothers, Chad (Tammy) Risner and Clay (Heather) Risner; his stepmom, Norma; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding him in death is his wife, Pam Risner; his parents, Tommy Risner and Sherrie Collins; as well as his in-laws, Gene and Mary Vaughn.

Keith was of the Christian faith.

A memorial service will be held 10am Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Clay Risner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you buy a book for a young person in your life.
