William Howard Hendrix, age 94 of Thayer, MO, was born October 9, 1931, in Perry County, MO, and passed away September 3, 2026, at his home.

Survivors: wife, Betty; 3 children, David (Barbara) Hendrix of Sparta, MO, Dennis Hendrix of West Plains, Denita (Danny) Frazier of Forsyth, MO; 5 grandchildren, Lance (Emily) Hendrix, Amber (Chris) Giebert, Shaun (Charity) Hendrix, Heather (Ryan) Russell, Deidra Hendrix; 12 great-grandchildren, Alice, Quyn, Jadyn, Devyn, Brayton, Brianna (Josh), Courtney, Madison, Xaden, Derick, McKanize, Edward, Christina; 3 sisters, Wanda Francis of Charleston, MO, Brenda (Larry) Williford of Doe Run, MO, Karol (Stanley) Clementz of Prophetstown, IL; 1 sister-in-law, Mary Hendrix of Farmington, MO; 3 step-children, Rob (Mandy) Frazier, Ryan (Shelly) Frazier, Susan (Gary) Baldridge; 7 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law Reva (Sherman) Baker; host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, John William and Martha Jane (Stacey) Hendrix; 1 sister, Kathy Hendrix, Etta Mae (Claude) Herron, Shirley (Don) Broeker, Mary Alice (Jimmy) Vinson; 2 brother, John Hendrix, Jerry Hendrix, Leroy (Betty) Hendrix; 1 brother-in-law, Cecil Francis; 1 daughter-in-law, Tina Hendrix; step-in-laws, Raymond and Reverta Hays, Willard and Carolee Barton, Irl and Charles Martin; 1 step-daughter, Stella Louise Gardner.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 2pm Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Loren Barton officiating.
