Barbara Lee Wood Hicks, born September 29, 1938 in Danville, Indiana and passed away May 9, 2026at NHC in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 87. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Edward, her parents Earl and Helen Wood, along with grandson William, son-in-law Denzil Lance, her two brothers and a sister. Barbara was united in marriage to her loving husband, Edward (Bill) Hicks on June 7, 1958. to this marriage they were blessed with four children. multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by children William Hicks and wife Candi, Michael Hicks and wife Mai, Wendy Hicks and Cindy Lance. She has 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, she loved and cherished each and everyone of them. Barbara loved her Lord and Savior with all of her heart. She now rests peacefully in his loving arms and is enjoying a big family reunion. There will not be a funeral per Barbara’s wishes. She wanted everyone to remember her the way she was when she was alive. |
