Lorene Ella Grooms, age 73 of Thayer, MO, was born October 2, 1952, in Thayer, MO, and passed away March 24, 2026, at home with family. Survivors include: 2 nieces, Sonya Fawn Flynn (John Pike) of Thayer, MO, and Sherri Rea Flynn of Mountain View, CA; 1 great-niece, Abigail Williams of California; 5 great-nephews, Noah Williams, Jonah Williams, Benjamin Williams, Joshua Williams, Samual Williams, all of California; 1 brother-in-law, Howard Flynn of Mammoth Spring, AR; many cousins, kin folk, countless friends, extended family, and coworkers. Preceded in death by: her parents, Leo Eli and Dorothy Frankie Mondina (Lewallen) Grooms; 2 sisters, Barbara Fat’ie Grooms and Frances Lurene Flynn; 1 infant brother, brother Billy Ray Grooms. Lorene was a member of the Thayer Senior Class of 1970. She was a career cattlewoman, and a lifelong mechanic that could fix anything. Funeral services will be 1pm Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with burial following in the Norman Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am-1pm Friday prior to the funeral. Pallbearers: Brandon Roberson, Greg Britain, Steve Ehret, Tim Crase, Nathen Russell, Dan Hatterman, Bobby Latham, John Pike Honorary Pallbearers: Corey Wales, Brad Gooch In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Norman Cemetery. |
