Virginia June (Storms) Hensley, age 89 of West Plains, MO, was born September 23, 1936, in Billmore, MO, and passed away February 21, 2026, at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO. Survivors include: 5 children, Jay Brawley (Sherrie) of Thayer, MO, Steven Brawley of Thayer, MO, Dwayne Brawley of Kearney, MO, Wilma Jones (Gary) of West Plains, MO, and Margaret Brawley of Thayer, MO; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Dean Reed of Springfield, MO; son-in-law Chris Durbin; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Grover and Zettie Storms and Margaret and Leroy Bowers; 2 husbands, Hubert Brawley and Chester Hensley; 1 daughter, Jennifer Durbin; 1 daughter-in-law, Marjorie Brawley; 2 sisters, Mary and Ruthie; 5 brothers, Ted, Wayne, Homer, Jimmy, and Alan; and baby Craig. Virginia loved to cook, as well as sewing, embroidery, playing cards, and thrifting. Most of all, she loved taking care of her family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. |
