Robert Carl Wells, Jr, age 83 of Thayer, MO, was born April 27, 1942, in Beloit, WI, and passed away May 9, 2025, at NHC Healthcare in West Plains, MO.

Survivors include: his wife Jean, of 29 years; his 7 children, Robin, Tammy (Mike), James (Stacey), Julie, Heather, Robert Daniel, Logan (Leah); 11 grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Scott, Amber, Mathew, Darien (fiancé Taylor), Jensen (Emily), Zach, Jade, Drake, and Samantha; his great-grandchild, Jaymes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty (Purdy) Wells; his infant son, Robert Lee; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Robert served his country in the Army. He was an avid collector of anything Elvis, and he was a Green Bay Packers fan. He loved playing cards and dominoes with his family and friends. He was quick to crack a joke, make a funny comment, or sing a silly song. Anything to try to make people laugh. He loved his wife Jean and their kids and grandkids deeply. He always tried to stay close to extended family and friends. Robert loved the Lord, and we know he is up in Glory with his Savior.

Services will be 2pm Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Stateline Pentecostal Church in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Wayne Hurst officiating, and burial following in the Thayer Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Clary Funeral Home.
