Garland Joe Taylor, born January 2, 1939, in Wirth, AR, died February 5, 2025, in Thayer, MO. “Joe” was preceded in death by: his parents, Ora Myrtle and Walter Taylor; 8 siblings; his wife, Geraldine; his daughters, Rhonda Jo Hovey and Sandra Jo Shultz. Survivors include: 1 son-in-law, Dirk Shultz of Thayer, MO; 4 grandsons, Zach Hovey and Ian Hovey of West Plains, MO; Jordon Shultz and wife Hannah of Alton, MO, and Jesse Shultz of Thayer, MO; numerous nieces and nephews. Everyone who knew Joe had to hear a joke or two every time you saw him. He was quite the comedian! Joe was also a musician, playing the banjo and the mandolin like a pro. Joe will be missed by all. He was a Christian and has joined his wife and daughters in the Lord’s eternal love. A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, MO. |
