William Green “Bill” Blankenship, age 83 of Alton, MO, was born March 9, 1941, in Alton, MO, and passed away October 22, 2024, at his home. He is survived by: daughter, Billie Sisco of Alton, MO; son Brian Blankenship (Jeanine) of Thayer, MO; nine grandchildren, Cassie Shields (Harry), Hayley Qualls (Douglas), Elly Burrell, Anna Blankenship, Amy Leavey (Johnny), Austin (Gavin) Williams, Caleb Russell, Riley Blankenship, Levi Blankenship four great-grandchildren, Lilly Shields, Logan Shields, Myles Leavey, and Emerald Williams, one sister Maxine Lewis; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Lee Henry Blankenship and Mary Ethel Stairs Blankenship; his wife, Betty Blankenship; five sisters, Christine, Pat, Lovis, Nadine, Leatrice; two brothers, Glen and Andrew; and two infant brothers. Funeral services will be 1pm Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO, with Bro. Bob Wiggs officiating, and burial following in the Bailey Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Friday at the funeral home. |
