It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Garry Zych, who left us on August 18, 2024 at the age of 70. Garry was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones.

Garry was born on June 17, 1954. He graduated from Morton High School in Hammond, Indiana in 1972. He was a resident of Northwest Indiana for the first half of his life and was extremely proud of his roots in Hammond. He called Alton, Missouri home for the past 20+ years. Garry knew no strangers and loved to play jokes on his family and friends.

Garry is survived by his wife of 24 years, Linda, and his sister Mary Ann Rolfe. He was a proud father to Jennifer Thompson of Indianapolis, IN, Ted (Jenny) Zych of Valparaiso, IN, Garry (Jill) Zych of Mobile, AL, and Angie (Doug) Brite, Julie Heidbreder, and Aimee Heidbreder, all of Crown Point, IN. He was "Papa Garry" to Ryan, Tori, Elliott, Grayson, Aria, Mason, and Ian. He has several nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be missed dearly by his best friend Mike and his dogs Hunter and Cleo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Ted Zych, and his brother, Teddy Zych.
