Velma Dean (Murphy) Bivens age 91 of Alton, MO was born December 24, 1931, in Stoddard County, MO and passed away December 12, 2023, in West Plains, MO.

Survivors include six children, Galeon Murphy, Myron Murphy, Vonda Kay Johnson, Karen Harty, Rhonda Ryan, Linda Parrott, 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Merritt Hobbs and Alta King Hobbs, two husbands, Ralph Murphy and Dennis Bivens, a son Nathan Murphy, three brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the Shiloh Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
