Burial:

In loving memory of Joshua Dale Parker, 29, of Calico Rock, AR, who passed away unexpectedly October 23, 2023. With sadness in our hearts, we find comfort in knowing he's with our Heavenly Father.

Joshua, the most loving and devoted husband and father is survived by his wife, Ruth; sons, Abraham Joshua, Isaiah Matthew, and baby boy Parker. He is, also, survived by parents Dale and Martha Parker of Thayer, MO; brother, Daniel (Amanda) Parker of West Plains, MO; grandparents Louie and Carolyn Parker of Thayer, MO, and Carson and Mildred Haley of Mammoth Spring, AR; father and mother-in-law, Ben and Lisa Hartley of Choteau, MT; sister-in-law, Sarah (Daniel) Lilly of Shady Spring, WV; brother-in-law, Michael Bell of Camp Verde, AZ; and a loving host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Joshua's life, while short here on earth, was devoted to living for Jesus Christ and his family. He often spoke so fondly of his early childhood memories of listening to the Word of God with his Grandpa and Grandma Haley, and later the privilege and honor of having both his sons dedicated to the Lord by Grandpa Haley, fishing trips with his father, basketball games with his brother, time spent in quiet conversation with his loving mother, all the hugs from his Grandpa and Grandma Parker, and early morning fall squirrel hunting trips with his uncles and cousins. On September 30, 2017, he married the catch of his life, Ruthie. In fact, he proudly displayed a plaque in his home that read, "One Fine Fisherman and the Catch of His Life Lives Here." In October of 2018, Joshua and his wife proudly welcomed their first-born son, Abraham, and again welcomed a second son, Isaiah, in July of 2020. Joshua was proudly and excitedly awaiting the arrival of their third son, whom he named Josiah James, due December. Joshua was a proud, loving and devoted husband and father, enjoying time wrestling with his sons, fishing, camping, playing at the park, teaching his sons about Jesus, and loving his wife.

Joshua had an impact on everyone he knew and met. He was loved by many, and he will forever be in our hearts until we meet again.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 2 p.m., in Calico Rock, AR, and will be officiated by Bro. Ron Lilly. There will be a remembrance box for anyone who has anything special they would like to leave with Joshua. Family and friends are invited to attend. Memorial service reception to follow. In Lieu of flowers, words of love and encouragement, and love offerings may be made to Joshua's wife and sons at Ever Loved. At the family's request, all attendees are asked to wear semi-formal attire.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Psalms 23:1-6.
