Christine Louise Clayton Patterson, 89, the daughter of Gillie Oran Clayton and Rufus and Lillie Rossen-Sparkman was born January 25, 1934, in Hugo Oklahoma. She departed this life July 2, 2023, at Shady Oaks Nursing Center, Thayer, MO.

She was united in marriage on January 24, 1950, in Walnut Ridge, AR to Hulan Grover Patterson. Her husband of 59 years when he passed away in 2009.

She is survived by 2 children, Becky (Lane) Redus Doniphan, MO. Kimberly (Joe) Cox Mammoth Spring, AR. Daughter-in-Law, Lavonda Patterson, Couch, MO. Grandchildren: Dr. Heather (Russ) Rupe, FranklinTN, Susan Rickert, West Plains, Mo. Ryan (Jen) Cox, Springfield, MO. Brittany (Josh) Sandifer, Platte City, MO. Molly Byler, Thayer, MO. Courtney (Tanner) Caselman, Ozark, MO. Blake Allen, Humansville, MO and 14 great grandchildren, Ryan and Carson Rupe, Kaelee (Creston) Duncan, Cameron Howard, Adilynn and Dakota Cox, Braxton Cox, Braigon and Brennan King, Hallie Byler, Emmett Sandifer, Emerson and
Atlas Caselman, and one great- granddaughter Caselman due in July. 2 great-great grandchildren, Aiden and Aubrey Duncan. One sister, Alice Mc Donald, Alton, MO. Special friends, Susie Roberts and Delsia Crawford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hulan, 5 children, Keith, Kendall, Karen, Kalon, and Gayla Jo, in-laws, Lois and Alpha Patterson, 2 brothers, Johnny and Gillie Clayton, sister, Barbara Cabello.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother & Grannie. She enjoyed spending time with her family, church family, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and kept a daily journal for over 30 years. She sent cards to everyone for special occasions, especially their birthday. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Enjoyed watching and listening to the local basketball teams. 5:00 in the evening was devoted to Jeopardy. She never met a stranger, and always greeted them with a smile and a hug. She was a Christian, a woman of great faith and a lifetime member of the Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, Calm, MO.

Visitation will be Thursday, 12:00-2:00 p.m. with funeral following at 2:00 p.m. at the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO. with Bro. Jake Lawrence officiating. Interment in Liberty Cemetery, Calm, MO.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church or St. Jude in her memory.
