Clifford Alvin Sisco, Sr., 85, died October 19, 2022, surrounded by family. He was born May 29 ,1937, the son of Boone and Artie Sisco.

He married Anna Faye Sisco on February 10, 1958, and together they had four children. Clifford was a member of United Baptist Church. He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Alton Comets play ball. He enjoyed singing, and he rarely passed up the opportunity for good-natured mischief.

Clifford and Ann owned and operated Sisco Grocery for more than three decades. Clifford's sense of humor extended to the store, where he would often play pranks on patrons.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Clifford, Jr. and Rose Sisco, Chrisie and Dean Barton, Patty and Mike Nichols, Reggie and Kelly Sisco; nine grandchildren, Clifford III and Jana Sisco, Aaron and Tara Sisco, Brittany and Aaron Haney, Dustin and Katie Barton, Tyler Barton, Abby and Zach Wilson, Hayden Nichols, Madison Sisco, and Kennedy Sisco; nine great-grandchildren, Clifford Sisco IV, Drew Sisco, Molly Sisco, Paul Sisco, Baylee Sisco, Chanler Sisco, Miley Haney, Mason Haney, and Haylee Wilson; and a large community of friends.

Clifford was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; his parents; siblings Lorene Allmon, Junior Sisco, Clyde Sisco, and Howard Sisco; and great granddaughter Elsie Barton.

Funeral services will be 12 p.m. at the Clary Funeral Homes in Alton, MO, with Bro. Edward Casey and Bro. Dwight Chronister officiating, and burial following in the Bailey Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Homes.
