Iris Pauline (Lee) Woodruff was born to the late Asa and May Lee on April 16, 1938 in Thomasville, MO and passed away peacefully on July 29, 2022 at Shepherd's View in Alton, MO, at the age of 84. She was baptized at Riverton when she was a young girl and she firmly believed that Jesus Christ was her Savior. She is survived by her children Karen Burkett (Jerry) of Thayer, MO; Kathy Hammack (Randy), Michael Copenhagen (Linda), Kelli Reed (Jarvis) all of Alton, MO; her brothers Irvin Lee (Peggy) and Gary Lee (Anna); her beloved 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Woodruff, her infant son Dennis Copenhagen, her daughters Regina Hafley and Christina Springer, and her infant grandchildren. Pauline always enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to spend time reading, sewing, and quilting. Those blessed to know her will always remember her love of the St. Louis Cardinals, Days of Our Lives, and coffee. She had a quick wit, strong opinions, and the most generous spirit. She loved fiercely and unconditionally and her hugs helped you forget all your worries. She is loved beyond measure and will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Visitation will be at 5 pm Monday, August 1, 2022 at Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO with a memorial service to begin at 6 pm. |
