Doc Barton, at the age of 86, was finally reunited with the Love of his life on June 29th 2022. His beloved wife of 50 years, Doris Barton, died in January 2015, and Doc spent the last 7 years talking about how he was looking forward in seeing her in Heaven.

Doc lived a happy and very energetic life and died peacefully in his sleep at NHC Healthcare Center in West Plains.He is survived by 6 children. Judy Barton, Dennie Barton, Kathy Barton, Gene Barton, Mike Barton and Shawn Barton. Doc was preceded in death, by one of his daughters. Twana Barton Terrill died on February 6th of this year. Doc was a beloved Grandfather of 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Doc was a preacher for more than 45 years and loved sharing the word of God to anyone that would listen to him. And sometimes, even to those who didn't want to listen to him. He loved the Lord, and it showed in how he lived his life.
