Patrick Joseph Maher, age 74 of Alton, MO was born July 29, 1947, in Okinawa, Japan and passed away May 6, 2022, at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, MO.

Pat was raised and attended school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and earned a degree in mechanical engineering, He lived most of his life in Hawaii, where he was a mechanical engineer on ships for the Merchant Marines. Upon retirement, he and his wife Valarie moved to Alton, MO, Pat was a volunteer Chaplain at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, MO.

Survivors include brothers Frank, Walt, John and Jerry Maher, sister Colleen Cassill and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marquetta (Henry) Maher, his wife Valerie Freitas, brother Edward Maher, JR and sister Gertrude Maher.
