Roy Lee Nix Jr was born October 30,1950 in Covington, KY to Roy Nix Sr and Katherine (McKinley) Nix. He married the love of his life, Barbara Williams in March 1969. He is survived by his wife Barbara, children Stephanie (Bart) Kernodle, Holly Harris, and Preston (Mya) Nix, grandchildren Haley Kernodle, Colby (Kaylee) Kernodle, Maggie Johnson, Seth Hardwick and Destiny Hardwick, and a host of cherished family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws Theo and Irene Williams, brother Charles Mann, and sister Clara Mann. Roy was a Christian and served as a deacon and faithful member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. He was a Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Lab Technician and loved spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger, enjoyed being around people, was not a worrier, and always had a smile. He loved to hunt and fish. He was surrounded by family when he left this world to be with the Lord and walk the streets of gold. Services will be held Saturday April 9, 2022 at 2 pm with visitation from 1pm-2pm at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Bro Edward Casey officiating. Burial in the Riverton Cemetery. Pallbearers: Colby Kernodle, Jason Andrews, Gentry Andrews, Steve Williams, Kelven Williams, Jess Vandiver, Wes Conrad, and Randy Willliams. -- |
