Lonnie Dean Linson was born on April 17, 1942, to James Fred and Elsie Grooms Linson in Oregon County, Missouri, and passed from this life on August 23, 2021, at Unity Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas. He was united in marriage to Martha Ann (Roe) Linson on November 27, 1964. To this union was born five children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his oldest daughter, Mary Linson, one sister, Lucille Forrester, and two brothers Frank and Donald Linson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers-in law, Gene Forrester and John Roe, three sisters-in law, Kitty Linson, Loretta Linson, and Elsie Linson, two sons-in law, Gary Jackson and Bobby Jones, and daughter in law, Melissa Linson. Also preceding him in death were his father and mother-in-law Robert and Alice Roe, one unborn grandchild, one unborn bonus great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Linson, of the home, and four children, Stacy Jones, Kevin Linson and wife Krystal, Kelly Travis, and husband Andy, and Joleen Linson. Also surviving are his grandchildren Ian (Megan), Garrett, Zach (Brook), Ashley (Noah), and Olivia. His surviving bonus grandchildren are Savannah, Kenzie, Morganne (Jacob), Kia, Chris (Tina), Cory (Amber). He is also survived by two yet to be born great granddaughters, four bonus great grandsons and four bonus great granddaughters, honorary daughter Angela (Jesse) and honorary grandson Austin. Lonnie is also survived by his siblings Carl (Joan), Kenny (Mabel) and Janice, one brother-in-law, Bobby (Petra), and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lonnie grew up in Koshkonong, Missouri, graduating salutatorian from Koshkonong High School in 1960, after which he served on an aircraft carrier in the US Navy. He then worked for both Beech and Cessna Aircraft, before moving to Arkansas to work for Falcon Jet, where he retired. He was a member of Koshkonong Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Lonnie was a man of God who lived his faith daily for all to see, providing a spiritual example for not only his family, but also the many lives he touched as he went about his day. He was loved by many and will be missed immeasurably.

Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with burial in the Walker Cemetery in Thayer, MO. Visitation will be 1pm-2pm just prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
