Don E. Duncan, age 91 of Alton, MO, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, June11, 2021. Don loved all aspects of farm life and loved working the land. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Oklahoma State University. He was a teacher for many years. Don was a devout Christian who loved Jesus and was always willing to give what he had to those in need. Don was a member of Pennwood Community Baptist Church in Alton, MO. He was married to the love of his life for 70 years, De De Duncan, and their love and devotion to each other was something to behold. Don was preceded in death by: his parents, Velma & Emmett Duncan; two sisters, Velma Louise Duncan and Mary Lou Ellis of Wichita, KS; one brother, Clark Duncan; in-laws H. Ray & Sara Sartin; son, Rick Duncan; one grandchild, Abigail (Abby) Williams. Survivors include: his wife, De De Duncan, of the home; sister-in-law, Alice Duncan of Wichita, KS; son, Lonnie Duncan (Sherry) of Alton, MO; daughters, Leanna Rae Duncan of Alton, MO, and Lynn Duncan Cochran (Leon) of Manchester, TN; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held 1pm Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO. In lieu of flowers, donation towards the family’s medical expenses can be left at Clary Funeral Home. John 5:24 Jesus said “Truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes Him who has sent me has eternal life. He does not come into condemnation, but has passed from death to life.†I Thes. 4:13 “..We do not grieve as those who have no hopeâ€. |
