Born July 19, 1961, Mark William Rist left his earthly body April 29, 2021 and joined his youngest son — Parker Rist, his mother — Marianne Pineau and his father — Gilbert Otto Rist, at the golden bridges. He leaves behind 3 loving children — Miles, Bailey and Connor, the mother of his children and lifetime friend — Lentawn Knight, and his seven siblings — Chris, Gib, Greg, Geoff, Kevin, Jenny and Matt, as well as nieces, nephews and many friends and extended family. Mark truly had the kindest, most gentle and selfless nurturing spirit. Always singing a song or humming a tune, he had an unparalleled passion for music. He enjoyed playing his saxophone, drums, flute or keeping it funky on his electronic music box. Whether it was basking in the sun, working outdoors or being by the water — Mark loved and embraced mother nature to her fullest. He will be remembered for so many things; being a genuinely loving father and friend, the way he marched (more like danced) to the beat of his own drum(s), his silliness and natural ability to make people smile. He cared for everyone, sometimes more than himself, and will be remembered for the way that he loved unconditionally. |
