Rhea Dean Dills, daughter of Edward and Nova Everett, was born August 29, 1943, in Fairview, Arkansas and departed this life August 14, 2020, at the age of 77 years old.

She was united in marriage September 3, 1961, to Thomas A. Dills and was married for 59 wonderful years.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas A. Dills and her children: Tina Hatten, Christopher Dills and wife Janet, and Crystal Dills, her grandchildren: Lauren Hatten, Blake Barron and wife Alyssa, Zane Hatten and wife Jasmin, Katelyn Smith and husband Micah.

Also, survived by her great grandchildren: Wilder Hatten, Waylynn Hatten and Navy Hatten and her brother Roger Everett and wife Janet. As well as many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

She was a wife and a loving mother who raised her three children through school age before she began her career as a corporate jet pilot. She and her husband flew to all 50 states, Central and South America, and Europe before retiring and settling down on the family farm.

She was an accomplished seamstress who adored making her children clothes – peculiarly little girl dresses.

She loved to embroider, especially to make gifts for her family and friends for the holidays.

She was a wonderful cook. Once she knew your favorite dessert, she would always try to have it on hand when you visited to make you feel special. She would always have a bag of homemade caramel corn for you at Christmas.

Her favorite thing was crafting with an incredible talent of turning the ordinary into a work of art.

She was loved by all who knew her, and our loss is truly heaven’s gain.

Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Darrell Strain and Steve Biffle officiating, interment in the Dills Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 5-7:00 pm at the funeral home.
