Barbara Jean Johnson, age 77 of Alton, MO was born November 28, 1942 in Knoxville, TN and passed away May 13, 2020 at her home. She was united in marriage to Dale C. Johnson on November 29, 1958, who survives. Other survivors include a sister Betty Dowler, brother Larry Taylor, six children Carolyn Moore (Paul), Kenny Johnson (Susie), Joe Johnson (Shari), Linda Spengler (Paul), Joyce Moore (Mark), Bobby Johnson (Jennifer), 14 grandchildren Emily, Kate, Lauren, Stacey, Stephanie, Paul Michael, Hope, Courtney, Phillip, Drew, Caleb, Christian, Sam and Grace, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Claude and Evelyn Taylor, in-laws Noel and Lucy Johnson, siblings Clifford, Louise, Paul, Harry, Leona, Katherine, Gary, Eddie and Bobby (twin brother). Barbara loved her family and loved cooking for all of them. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Cave Springs Cemetery.
