Jerry Walter Bonnell was born November 8, 1955 in Iraan, Texas and left this world March 29, 2020.

Jerry was an outgoing man who spent his young life in West Texas. He married Polly on July 27, 1974 and they went on to enjoy 45 years of marriage together. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran of the United States Navy.

Jerry moved to Thomasville, Missouri in 1989 with his wife and two children. He was known in the community for driving a semi truck and sitting on the front porch swing waving at every car that drove by.

He enjoyed the outdoors and spent his free time fishing and camping. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fast cars, and time with his family. He loved his daughters and his grandchildren, and had a special love for his one great-grandchild.

Jerry is survived by his wife Polly, of the home; 2 daughters, Mary Lisek (Bobby) of Clever, Mo, and Linda Bonnell of West Plains, Mo; 5 grandchildren: Kayla, Kayti, Julia, Gracie, and Piper; one great-grandson, Greyson; one sister, Janice, and one brother, Billy. He also leaves behind a large extended family and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Billy and Gracie Bonnell; his father and mother in law, Chester and Mary Brock; one sister, Jean Beaver, and one brother-in-law, Lester Brock.

A private graveside service will be held for the family, with a public celebration of life to be held at a later time.

Rest easy driver, your shift is over.

Texas Tumbleweed, over and out.
