Mr Wilbur Williams, “Pete” died January 15, 2020 at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Warrensburg, MO at the age of 71. Pete is survived by his children, James D Williams and wife Lisa Williams of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Steven D. Williams of Springfield, MO. He is survived by two grandson’s Trenton and Brandon. Pete is survived by the following siblings, Alyne Faye Frampton of Knob Noster, MO; Mary Kathleen DeWitt of Union, MO; Evelyn Josephine Robinson of Alton, MO; Shirley Sue Hollis of Thayer, MO; Joseph Joel Williams JR Alton, MO and Glen David Williams, Memphis, TN and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Rose Williams, mother Matrid Mae (Farris) Williams and father Joseph Joel Williams Sr. Pete was born on April 20, 1948 in Alton, MO to Joseph and Matrid Williams. He graduated from Nodaway Holt in Graham, MO in 1966. He joined the Army after High School. He married Rosemarie A. Hertlein, in 1969. The couple welcomed 2 children into their home. His children remember him as a kind father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Visitation is on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 3 pm to 6 pm at Clary’s Funeral Home. A funeral is scheduled for Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 2 pm at Oak Hill Church, with a reception for the family at Oak Hill Church. Reverend Casey will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pete’s life. The family would like to thank Veteran’s Home’s staff for their care and dedication. |
