Christina Marie (Copenhagen) Springer was born to the late Glenn Copenhagen and Pauline (Lee) Woodruff on August 16, 1964 in Saint Louis, MO and passed away peacefully on September 23, 2019 at Belle Terrace in Tecumseh, NE at the age of 55. She is survived by her mom, Pauline Woodruff; her daughters Jamie Springer (Wayne Hooper), Tina Springer, Cassandra Springer, Sara Springer (Jayden Johnson); her grandchildren Kacie, Karlissa, Khylen, Austin, Alex, Rayleigh, Brayton, Pyper, Jarron, and Cade; her great-granddaughter Emma; her siblings Kathy Hammack (Randy), Michael Copenhagen (Linda), Kelli Reed (Jarvis) all of Alton, MO and her sister Karen Burkett (Jerry) of Thayer, MO; and a number of other relatives and close friends. She is preceded in death by her father Glenn Copenhagen, her stepfather James Woodruff, her infant brother Dennis Copenhagen, her sister Regina Hafley, and her infant grandchild. Christina always enjoyed time with her family and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She loved to spend time outside fishing, swimming, or watching car races. Those blessed to know her will always remember her love of coffee, Dr. Pepper and pumpkin pie food fights, but mostly her wonderful sense of humor and her love of laughter. She is loved beyond measure and will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, September 27, 2019, at Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO with Jarvis Reed officiating, and burial following in Smith Cemetery in Alton, MO. Visitation will be 5 pm – 7 pm Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO. A million times I've needed you A million times I've cried, If love alone Could have saved you You never would have died. In life I loved you dearly; In death I love you still. In my heart you hold a space, Where no one can ever fill. It broke my heart to lose you, But you didn't go alone Part of me went with you, The day GOD took you home. |
