Mary Louise Mitchell, age 79 of Koshkonong, MO, was born May 20, 1940, in Thayer, MO, and passed away August 22, 2019, at the home of her son in Thayer, MO. Survivors include: 3 sons, Jimmy Dale Mitchell, Jr. of Koshkonong, MO, Alvin Leon Tipton and wife Anita of Thayer, MO, and Crockett Buchanan of Altoona, IA; one granddaughter, Lauren R. Mitchell of Mammoth Spring, AR; one grandson, Kaleb Tipton of Thayer, MO; 3 brothers, Billy Joe Madden and wife Ann of Thayer, MO, Raymond Madden and wife Tammy of West Plains, MO, and Henry Ray Madden of Couch, MO; 4 sisters, Ruth Huddle and husband Allen of Jonesboro, AR, Sharon Bowers and husband Jim of Thayer, MO, Carra Manning of Jonesboro, AR, and Pam Bowers of West Plains, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, as well as her special friend Charlie the dog. Preceding her in death were: her first husband, Donald Frazier; her second husband, Jimmy D. Mitchell, Sr.; her parents, Henry Cleo and Mildred (Phipps) Madden; 1 son, Keven Dale Mitchell. Mary drove the bus for the Koshkonong School District for 35 years as well as served as Alderman for the city of Koshkonong. She enjoyed life and gardening, was an excellent cook, and was of the Baptist faith. She loved being outdoors and always had an open door for anyone that needed help, and never turned down helping anyone. She loved her family and spending time with family and was the life of any get together. Graveside services will be 1pm Sunday, August 25, 2019, at the Wayside Cemetery in Koshkonong, MO, with Bro. Craig Hensley officiating. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Saturday, August 24, 2019, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO. |
