Thomas Mark Anderson, lifelong resident of Mammoth Spring, AR, was born May 28, 1922, in Mammoth Spring, AR, and passed away May 31, 2019, at the Fulton County Medical Center in Salem, AR at the age of 97 years.He was united in marriage on May 16, 1947 to Elizabeth Ann Smith of Mammoth Spring. He is survived by his son Butch Anderson of Mammoth Spring, AR, three grandchildren, Libby Salmon of Harrison, AR, Trey (Brandi) Anderson of Mtn. Home, AR, Lindsley (Cecil) Meyer of Mammoth Spring, AR, four great-grandchildren, Kobe and Sadie Meyer, Maggie Salmon and Laken Anderson, the mother of his grandchildren, Lynn Anderson Misko of Thayer, MO and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Boyd and Carrie Anderson, his wife Elizabeth Anderson, two brothers, Junior Anderson and Buck Anderson, two sisters, Juanita Shaver and Fern Armstrong, Mark was a veteran of World War II, serving through out Europe. After returning home he started his own business, Anderson’s Radio and TV Sales. He retired from business at the age of 44. He then began building houses and selling them. Until his death he continued his favorite passion of wheeling and dealing to make a dollar. For many years he lived in a home on Spring River where he enjoyed fishing. Mark was a faithful, long time member of the Welcome Hill Church of Christ and a member of the Mammoth Spring VFW. Funeral Services will be 10am Monday, June 3, 2019, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with burial following in the Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, AR. Visitation will be 9am-10am Monday morning just prior to the funeral. Officiating will be Erman Croney and Larry Yarbrough, pallbearers Cecil Meyer, Kobe Meyer, Junior Miller, Marty Woolridge, Brad Armstrong and Gene Flynn. |
