William Earl "Bill" Piper, age 77 of West Plains, MO, was born December 23, 1941, in West Plains, MO, and passed away May 10, 2019, at the Brookehaven Health Care in West Plains, MO. Bill graduated from West Plains High School in 1959, then served in the U.S. Army as a medic in Korea. Upon returning to West Plains, he was the owner and operator of the first private ambulance service in West Plains for over 22 years, as well as a volunteer firefighter. Later in his life he worked in the healthcare field at Ozarks Medical Center as well as FCC Behavioral Health. Survivors include his special friends Joey Walker, Jan King and Kelley Wilbanks. Graveside services will be held 10am Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in West Plains, MO, with military honors following. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO. |
