On 9 November 1946, Lee Ola Harrington was born and would remain a staple of Alton until her passing on 20 January 2019. The second daughter of Harold and Virginia Harrington, Lee Ola was raised in the hustle and bustle of Virginia’s Café and literally, served her community breakfast, lunch and dinner until Virginia’s closed in 1991. Continuing her service to her beloved community, Lee Ola cared for those unable to care for themselves as a live-in caregiver adding camaraderie and comfort to many. A loving friend and devout member of the Hickory Grove and Alton Church of Christ, Lee Ola will always be remembered by those who knew her. The last of the Harrington family name, Lee Ola is survived by her four nephews Andrew, Robert, Anthony and Jubal Combs. Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO, visitation noon until service time. She will be laid to rest at the Hickory Grove Cemetery next to her beloved parents where God will undoubtedly grant her a greatly deserved rest. |
