Ava L. Johnson, age 82 of Alton, MO was born February 12, 1936 near Bardley, MO and passed away December 18, 2018 in Springfield, MO. Ava was raised in the Riverton Community, and was baptized at an early age at the Riverton Church. In 1952 she was united in marriage to Thaine Johnson. She loved spending time outdoors, fishing and hunting. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include; two sons, Kirby Lynn Johnson and his wife Penny, Kevin Lee Johnson and his wife Wendy, five grandchildren, Carrie Wolfe, Carolyn Allen, Katlyn Wachter, Ryan Johnson and Megan Johnson, seven great-grandchildren, Hannah, Ephraim, Ruthie, Gracie, Jayleigh, Mackenna and Addilyn, one sister, Jean Lance, one brother, Bill Dale, one sister-in-law, Ann Dale, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Howard and Lessie Dale, her stepmother Eva, sister Mary, husband Thaine and sister-in-law Ruth. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Joel Hines officiating. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home. |
