Carol Sue Johnston Reed Rodgers was born on September 7, 1947 and departed this life on September 5, 2018 at her home in Thayer, Missouri.

Carol Sue was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Johnston of Alton, Missouri. She is survived by her husband Phillip Rodgers of Thayer, MO, one son, Chris Johnston and wife Melissa of Rover, MO, one brother Larry Johnston and wife Darlene of St Louis, MO, one sister Shelia Hooper of Alton, MO, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 17 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her son Scott Reed.

Sue never met a stranger and was blessed by a multitude of friends whom she considered her family.

A remembrance of Sue’s colorful life will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 5pm at Clary’s Funeral Home Chapel in Alton. The eulogy will be given by Sue’s special friend Mary Lee Crossland Greer whom she considered her sister.
