James Wesley “Jim” Sloan, age 91 of Koshkonong, MO, was born November 18, 1926, in Koshkonong, MO, and passed away July 28, 2018, at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO. Survivors include: 3 daughters, Anita McGill of Malden, MO, Shirley Holden & husband Ron of Brimley, MI, and Sheila Hester & husband Carl of Sandoval, IL; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Norman Sloan and John Sloan. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Nicholas & Olive (Jackson) Sloan; 1 sister, Alma Sloan; 1 brother, Aubrey Sloan; 2 son-in-laws, Carl McGill and Jerry Stump. Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, August 4, 2018, at the Clifton Freewill Baptist Church in Thayer, MO, with Bro. Darrell Mitchell officiating, and burial with military honors following in the Koshkonong Cemetery in Koshkonong, MO. Visitation will be 12pm-2pm prior to the funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO. |
