Ruby Irene Jenkins, age 96 of Alton, MO was born September 16, 1921 in Thayer, MO and passed away July 11, 2018 at Ozarks Medical Center. Survivors include; a daughter Glenda Jenkins, three grandchildren, Glen Eric, Elizabeth Ann and Larry Elsworth, four great-grandchildren, Eric, David, Natalie and Meredith, a sister, Martha Bell Dunsmore and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents Samuel Wesley Woolridge and Pearl Ary-Woolridge, her step-mother Viola Mills Woolridge, her husband Glen Ralph Jenkins, one brother Jess Woolridge and a son Larry Russell Jenkins. Ruby and Glen Ralph were united in marriage on May 26, 1940. They retuned to the Alton in the late 1980s, where Ruby was involved in numerous civic and church activities, including President of the Alton Cresite Club. Her gifts were homemaking, hospitality, playing the piano and singing. Services will be 3:00 pm Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO, visitation 2:00 pm until service time. Burial will be in the Cave Springs Cemetery. |
