Helen Lea McDonell, age 91 of Alton, MO was born February 26, 1927 in Kansas City, MO and passed away April 8, 2018 at Shady Oaks Healthcare, Thayer, MO. Survivors include: two daughters, Sharon Bettis and husband Jerry Bettis of Alton, MO, Darla McDonell of Gladstone, MO; three grandchildren, Helen Marie Frey, Jerry Brian Bettis and Jason Ray Bettis; eight great-grandchildren, Michael, Natalie, Lauren, Zachary, Jordan, Jeffrey, Bryce and Miller; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Joe Zorn and Loretta Doughtry-Zorn, her husband Lyle D. McDonell, two brothers and one sister. Local services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Edward Casey officiating. Graveside services and burial will be 1pm Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Mount Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. |
