Wanda Fay Martin was born to Henry and Pearlie Collins on March 16, 1935 in Hardy, AR. She passed away January 11, 2018, at Shady Oaks in Thayer, MO, at the age of 82. She is survived by her son Gene Martin and wife Lynn of Thayer; two grandsons, Samuel Martin and Jessica of Nixa, MO, and Matthew Martin and Ashley of Thayer, MO; two sisters, Louise Martin of Judsonia, AR, and Carol Martin of Bald Knob, AR; two stepsons, Harold Martin (Dorothy) of Bald Knob, AR, and Jerry Martin (Shirley) of Watervliet, MI; one step daughter-in-law, Peggy Martin of Bald Knob, AR; several nieces and nephews; and Babe, her dog. She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Pearlie Collins; two husbands, Oather Martin and Cecil Summers; twin infant sons; one brother, Johnny Collins; two sisters Mildred Dickey and Lois Collins; and one stepson, Junior Martin. Wanda was a homemaker, farmer, gardener, the best Granny to Sam and Matt and loving Ma to Gene. Services will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018, at 2pm at Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with a visitation at 1pm. Burial will be in the Edd Collins Cemetery in Wirth, AR. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO. |
