Della Ruth (McKee) Powell was born on August 19, 1933 to John and Gola (Williams) McKee. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Henry, her brother Grover, her sister Dorothy, and various other family and friends. She is survived by her Husband Donald Ray Powell of Mammoth Spring; daughter Deborah and son-in-law Len of Oden, AR; granddaughter Ruth Banta of Searcy, AR; grandson Jonathan Banta of Rogers, AR; granddaughter Mary Banta of Rogers, AR; and granddaughter Sarah Banta of Conway, AR.

Ruth Married Don on January 3, 1953 and they moved to Kansas City, MO. In 1954, they were joined by daughter Deborah. The Powells moved to Davenport, Iowa for many years before returning to Mammoth Spring in the late 1980s where they have spent the rest of their time, other than numerous trips around the country. Ruth was a member of the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ. Ruth left this world surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 15, 2017 in Springfield, MO. Loving wife, mother, gia, and friend.


Funeral Services will be 11am Thursday, October 19, 2017, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO, with visitation from 10am-11am just prior to the services. Burial will be in the Jeff Cemetery in Jeff, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO. Pallbearers include: Charles French, Marvin Hedden, Randy Ward, Bill Pace, Ricky Ragsdale, and Joey Pendarvis.
