She loved gardening and was known for her prize winning zinnias. She loved family dinners and baking a variety of delicious pies. She was a member of the Alton First Baptist Church and served many years in the Women's Missionary Union. She was baptized at an early age and served God in all that she did. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
