Philip Eugene Orr born April 14, 1941 at Alton, MO as the fourth child of Fred and Alma Orr.

Philip attended elementary school at Royal Oak country school and went to Thomasville for high school where he graduated with the class of 1959. After graduation he worked in Springfield before moving to Kansas to work on a wheat farm. In 1962 he joined the Army and served in several states and spent a year in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1965. He next went to the St. Louis area for three years doing construction work and working at McDonald Douglas Aircraft. He married in 1966. The family decided to move back to Oregon County to farm and raise hogs around 1973. He bought his first horse about 1979, and what started out as a hobby soon became his lifetime activity. Philip Married Alaina Reese in 1998 and farmed in Moody, Missouri for several years before moving to Alpena, Arkansas where he enjoyed training his horses.

Philip is survived by his wife Alaina of the home, daughter Nancy Spoor and husband Rodney, Mountain View, Missouri; son Stephen Orr and wife Annette, Scott City, Kansas; daughter Tracy Orr, Alton, Missouri; daughter Cara Cecil and husband David, Koshkonong, Missouri; Jerrad Reese and wife Sandi, Gassvillie, Arkansas; Jacob Reese and wife Alicia, Sulfur Springs, Arkansas, Tammy Castillo and husband Roger, Germany. Grandchildren include Greg Spoor and wife Morgan, Amy Hall and husband Grant, Madison Orr, Abbi Orr, Chloe Cecil, Warren Cecil, Christopher Castillo, Courtney Castillo, Xavier Castillo, Cody Reese, Trevor Reese, Stephen Reese, Seith Reese. Great-grandchildren include Shyenne, Chase, Brooks, and Avery. His brothers are Richard, Ralph, and Vernon Orr all of Alton, Missouri. His sisters are Myrtle Little and Shirley Hufstedler both of Alton, Missouri.

Philip is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Alma Orr, brother Dwight Orr, brother-in-law Phillip Griffin, sister-in-law Dianne Orr, sister-in-law Carol Orr, brother-in-law Joe Little, and sister Katherine Griffin, one niece Kimberly Smith, and one infant great-granddaughter.

Graveside services will be 10:00am Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Huddleston Cemetery with Bro. Jobe Steele officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
