Levon Wilburn “RoHo” Dempsey, age 83 of Alton, MO, was born October 15, 1932, in Reeves, MO, to Sam and Flora Dempsey, and passed away June 26, 2017, at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO.

He is survived by: his 4 children, Sammie L. Dempsey, Debra J. Brand, Anthony E. Dempsey and wife Sandra (McCasland), and Franklin D. Dempsey; his siblings living in Independence, MO, Sam Dempsey and wife Hazel, and Doyle Dempsey;
as well as his siblings residing in Kennett, MO, Curtis G. Dempsey, Helen (Dempsey) Estes and husband Bill, Barbara (Dempsey) Brice and husband Jim, and Brenda (Dempsey) Hillis; as well as 5 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by: his parents, Sam and Flora (Blackburn) Dempsey; a brother-in-law, Jack Hillis.

Levon lived in Kennett and worked for the Kennett Street Department until his retirement.

Graveside services will be 2pm Sunday, July 2, 2017, at the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, AR. There will be a visitation held 1pm Saturday, July 1, 2017, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Alton, MO.
