Jerome Hall Armour was born June 10, 1934 to Ralph and Helen Armour in Bono, AR and passed away February 25, 2017 at Shady Oaks Healthcare in Thayer, MO. He is survived by his wife Ruby Armour, children, Charles D. Walters and wife Janie, Diane Garrison and husband Van, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, all of Thayer, MO, one brother, Bert W. Armour and wife Linda of Pea Ridge, AR, two nieces, Debbie Michel of Wentzville, MO, Carolyn Armour of Pea Ridge, AR and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Larry L. Armour. Jerome played baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies farm team. He served in the US Army in Korea and played in the Far Eastern Baseball League while in the service. His team won the championship two years in a row. He also loved hunting and fishing, but his favorite pastime was watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Graveside memorial services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Trinity Cemetery, Bono, Arkasnsas. Arrangements under the direction of the Clary Funeral home, Thayer, MO. |
