Dana Carol Johnson, age 69, was born on July 2, 1947, in Doniphan, Missouri to Nolan E. (Bill) and Betty Evelyn (Terry) Johnson, and passed away on November 23, 2016, in her home in Republic, Missouri from complications of diabetes. She is survived by her two brothers, Nolan Dale (Kay) Johnson of West Plains, Mo. and James David (Nancy) Johnson of Springfield, Mo. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Tina Johnson of Independence, Mo, Bruce (Sandra) Johnson of Springfield, Mo., Tracey (Rick) Adair of Springfield, Mo., and Tyler Johnson of Chicago, Il., and several great-nieces and nephews. Dana’s uncle, Phillip Paul Johnson of Merkel, Tx. and her aunt, JoAnn Johnson of Ozark, Mo are surviving along with several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Dana graduated from Alton High School in1965, then from Southwest Missouri State College, Springfield, MO in 1969. She was a member of Jefferson Ave Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo. She thoroughly enjoyed researching family genealogy in her spare time. She was retired from AT&T in Kansas City, Mo. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, Mo with Bro. David Case officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery in Alton, Mo. Visitation will be prior to the funeral from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
