Barbara Jean Smith, age 66 of Mammoth Spring, AR, was born December 23, 1949, in Beloit, WI, and passed away September 15, 2016, at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO.

Survivors include: 2 daughters, Thresa Bivins of Thayer, MO, and Laura Wallace of Kosh, MO; 3 sons, David Smith of Webb City, MO, Daniel Smith of Porterville, CA, and Donald Smith of Mammoth Spring, AR; 1 brother, Stewart Austin of Beloit, WI; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Smith; her parents, Jacob and Helen (Geier) Austin; 1 sister, Gloria; and 1 brother, James.

A memorial service will be held 6pm Monday, September 19, 2016, at the Clary Funeral Home in Thayer, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
