Mae Jean (Peace) Rice, age 86, born September 23, 1929 and passed away August 11, 2016. She was a wonderful, caring mother, sister and friend, who loved her biscuits and gravy with grape jelly on the side. She spoiled her 4-legged babies and took joy and laughter in all their craziness. She is survived by daughter, Kathy, sisters Glenna and Fern, brother Ben and her much loved California family, a host of nieces and nephews and Brandi & Lizzie. She is preceded in death by husband, Roy, sisters Terrissia, Paula and Ruth, sister-in-law Marguerite, several brothers-in-law and parents Rolla and Lois Peace. Visitation will be from 2-3 pm on Saturday August 13, followed by a memorial service at Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO. Bro. Charles Trantham officiating. Cremation will follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please forward donations to your local animal shelter or the ASPCA.
