Chester Warren Hensley, age 84 of Thayer, MO, was born September 9, 1931, in Alton, MO, and passed away April 23, 2016, at National Health Care in West Plains, MO. Survivors include: his wife, Virginia, of the home; 1 son, Tony Hensley of Fenton, MO, and his 2 children Jacob Hensley and Noah Hensley. He was a second father to 6 children: Orville Brawley of Thayer, MO, Grover Brawley of Thayer, MO, Hubert Brawley & wife Marjorie of Mammoth Spring, AR, Wilma Jones & husband Gary of Mammoth Spring, AR, Jennifer Brawley of East Alton, IL, and Margaret Brawley of Thayer, MO; 11 grandchildren, Christy and husband Mike Ennis, Justin and wife Kara Brawley, Melissa and husband Matt Toomey, Sunshine and husband Kevin Gorskey, Christopher and wife Amber Brawley Allen Jones, Michelle and husband Ronnie Simms, Chalen Campbell, David Brawley, and Cynthia Cole; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Oscar and Dorothy (Storms) Hensley; 2 brothers, Robert Hensley and Gene Hensley; 1 sister, Edith Davis; and 1 son, Bruce Hensley. Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at the Clary Chapel in Thayer, MO, with visitation 10am-11am prior to the service, with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO. |
