Arthur Owen “Sonny” Green, age 77 of Alton, MO, was born July 24, 1938 in Shannon County, MO and passed away January 29, 2016. He was united in marriage to Fern Peace on November 30, 1957 and to this union two sons were born, Arthur Owen Green, JR and Rolla Gene Green. He was a wonderful husband and father and everyone’s friend. He is survived by his wife Fern, one son, Rolla Green of Eminence, MO, four grandchildren, Joe Green and wife Rachael of Rolla, MO, Kelsey Johnson and husband Peter of Fordland, MO, Ethan Green of Rolla, MO, Melissia Green of St Louis, MO, two great-grandchildren, Grant Green and Olivia Johnson, two sisters, Betty Hall and Bonnie Ward, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one son, Arthur Green, JR, one sister, Wilma Blankenship, several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and one nephew. Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO, with burial in the Huddleston Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. |
