Anna Gail Johns, the daughter of the late Harry Willis and Janette Orr Willis Smith entered into the gates of Heaven on September 24, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.

She was born December 2, 1949, the youngest of five children. During her youth, Anna lived in Kansas, Missouri and Indiana. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1968. Then in 1971 she married Harold “Larry” Johns and to this union three daughters were born. During her marriage she and her family moved to Indiana, Illinois, Arkansas and Missouri. She taught multiple Sunday School classes, was a director of VBS numerous times and often sang at church and nursing homes. Anna worked at OMC as a secretary for the Physical Therapy unit until diabetes changed that. She had a huge heart and loved everyone. She was a huge Cardinal fan and that gave her a lot of joy.

Anna is survived by a brother, Robert “Bob” Willis and wife Sue of TN, three daughters, Jennifer Stiner of Alton, MO, Kerry Medlock and husband David of West Plains, MO, Kelly Lajeuness and husband Stanley of Springfield, MO, five grandchildren, Cody Stiner, Colton Stiner and fiancée Katie Dale, Kaitlyn Stiner and significant other Kenneth Salter, Marcus Lahjeuness and Logan Lajeuness, an uncle, John Barton, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Donna Claney, Carol Ellis and Francis Tharp.

Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Stanley Lajeuness officiating. Following the service, the body will be cremated, with burial at Smith Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home, Alton, MO.
