Lorna Alice Hughes, 90, of Shepherd’s View Residential Care, Alton, Missouri, was born January 17, 1925, and passed away on September 3, 2015, at Ozark Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri. She was baptized on November 26, 1954 to her God, Jehovah, whom she never forgot. She was married to John Leonard Hughes on August 6, 1957, who preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Timothy Hills of Sparks, Oklahoma, and David Hughes, Sr. and Debbie of New Bedford, Massachusetts; one daughter Terry Jackson and her husband Dee of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. She is survived by 10 grandchildren, Brian Jackson and wife Annette of Eustis, Florida, Deanne Taylor and husband Brian of Panama City Beach, Florida, Rebekah Medrano and husband Michael of Casa Grande, Arizona, Millena Dunlap and husband Kurt of Casa Grande, Arizona, Rachel Wild and husband Scott of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Bonnie Colton and husband Rodney of Stafford, Missouri, Leroy Hills and wife Deanna of Norfolk, Virginia, Tom Hills and wife Marilyn of Heber Springs, Arkansas, David Hughes Jr. of St. Simons Island, Georgia, and Sarah Hughes of St. Simons Island, Georgia and 12 great grandchildren; Konnor, Sarah, Hollis, John (Jet), Sydney, Brent, Corey, Savanna, Violet, Kaytlynn, Sebastian, Nate, and Dalton and 1 great-great grandson, Matthew Hayes. Lorna was a CNA, owned a bakery in Mountain View, Missouri, and owned several restaurants over the course of her life. Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Thayer, Missouri. Minister Dee Jackson. |
