Dale Woods, age 61 of Alton, MO was born March 25, 1954 in Alton, MO to Charles and Erma Ostrom-Woods, and departed this life on August 17, 2015 and was welcomed home by Jesus Christ, infant daughter and a wonderful Father-in law who led him to Christ.

He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Carol Williams on October 11, 1974, to this union three children were born.

Survivors include; his wife Carol of the home, one daughter, Erin Daughtery of N.C., one son, Matthew and wife Kandis of Alton, two grandchildren, River and Hunter Woods, his mother, Erma Woods of Alton, one sister, Phyllis Ballard and husband Ron of Alton, one brother, Jerry and wife Jeanie of Abilene, TX, many special aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces and a host of good friends.

Survived by Jesus Christ who died on the Cross for all of our sins. Dale inherited lots of brothers and sisters when he accepted Jesus as his Savior.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Contessa, one brother, Leslie Woods, his father, Charles Woods, his grandparents, Henry and Hannah Woods, Adolph and Rose Ostrom.

Dale was a faithful member and Deacon of the United Baptist Church for Many Years. He had a passion for turkey hunting and canoeing on the Eleven Point River where he could see and enjoy God’s beauty.

Services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with Bro. Bob Wiggs officiating, interment in the Many Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 p, at the funeral home.
